|1||Four Stroke Marine Propulsion Diesel Engine, non reversible and water cooled developing power approx. in the range of 9 – 10 MW. Engine must be designed to incorporate latest technological advancements viz. sequential turbo charging, electronic governor and controls etc.|
|2||Engine must be Type approved by classification society viz. ABS/DNV/LRS for its use onboard ships. Latest IMO rules with regards to emission norms are to be followed.|
Noise levels to be minimum and vibrations limits must be in accordance with ISO 10816. Necessary Anti vibration mounts to be selected.
|4||Engine must be complete with all the standard accessories and systems viz. lub oil, fuel oil, cooling water, compressed air etc. for satisfactory operation onboard. Must be able to control locally from Engine control panel as well as remotely from the ship’s remote control panel.|
|5||Overall lifecycle cost must be lower with higher Time between overhauls making it maintenance friendly to the end user. Vendor must be willing to provide product support throughout the lifecycle of the ship (approx. 25 years)|
