Swachhta Pakhwada Celebrations
A Swachhta Pakhwada was celebrated in Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) as per the directives received from Department of Defence Production (DDP) in the month of December 2022 from 1st Dec 2022 to 15th Dec 2022.
The activities conducted during this pakhwada were uploaded on Swachh Samiksha portal under action plan provided by Department of Drinking Water and Sanitisation – Ministry of Jal Shakti on behalf of DDP (Raksha Utpadan).
Some of the activities conducted under this event was administering Swachhta Pledge, display of posters, cleaning of public parks, collection of plastic waste from Vasco City, disposal of scrap items, weeding out old unused files, cleaning of office premises, tree plantation in township area like GSL colony, painting and drawing competition for children of GSL Employees., poster display among general public spreading messages of cleanliness, cleaning of GSL factory premises etc.
All these activities received an overwhelming response and encouragement by the society and office staff. There were seminars conducted by Head of Medical Department of GSL – Dr Tari and by Training and Development Team of GSL, on importance of cleanliness to maintain healthy lifestyle which illustrated the ways to keep ourselves and society around us clean free from diseases.
The concluding ceremony is scheduled on 15.12.2022, along with prize distribution for the winners of various competition held during the event. The above programme was coordinated and carried out successfully by Administration department of GSL.
