Shri Sanjay Krishna Navhale, an officer from Indian Ordnance Factory Services – 2006 batch, assumed the charge of Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) w.e.f. 06.10.2022. He has vast experience of more than 21 years in Administrations, Industries and Academics.
Shri Sanjay Krishna Navhale has worked as Deputy Secretary to the Govt. of India in the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers from Sept., 2018 to Sept., 2022 and has handled work such as Administration, Policy and Programme implementation for achieving growth and development of the Chemical and Petrochemical sectors. He was also entrusted with a charge of Chief Vigilance Officer (Part Time) for the Institute of Pesticides Formulation Technology, Gurugram (an autonomous body under the Dept. of Chemical and Petrochemicals), as an additional responsibility from July, 2021 to Sept., 2022.
He has worked in various capacities at Ordnance Factory Chanda, under the Dept. of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, from Oct., 2009 to Sept., 2018. He has rich experience in the field of Defence Production for more than 10 years and looked after Production, Planning, Quality Control/Assurance, Material Management, Manpower Management, Administration, etc.
He has undergone the probationer training as an IOFS Officer at National Academy of Defence Production (NADP) from June, 2008 to Oct., 2009 and was adjudged as the IInd best probationer by National Academy of Defence Production and also won the “KALPAGAM KRISHNAMURTHY MEMORIAL AWARD” in 2009.
Shri Sanjay Krishna Navhale has worked as an Academician having teaching experience of about 07 years, in higher education and handled major responsibility viz. teaching to the undergraduate students, planning and implementation of high-quality curriculum, development of learning materials, etc. at College of Engg. & Tech., Akola, under Shri Sant Gadgebaba Amravati University, Amravati, from 2001 to 2008.
He has also worked as Graduate Engg. Trainee (Apprentice) in Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL, Mumbai Refinery) Mumbai, from 1998 to 1999, in Technical Department and worked extensively on energy conservation.
He possesses educational qualification of Bachelor of Technology from 1994 to 1998, in the field of Chemical Technology and Post-Graduation in Chemical Engineering from year 2000 to 2002.
He has visited foreign countries on various government assignments viz. Poland (2011), United States of America (2015) and had been a Member of Inter Ministerial Delegation to 14th Conference of Parties (COP) to Basel Convention, 9th Meeting of COP to Rotterdam Convention and 9th Meeting of COP to Stockholm Convention at Geneva, Switzerland, in 2019.
